Courses Offered
AutoCAD
Schedule: Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
Course Requirement : PC/Laptop - Installed with AutoCAD 2025 or below year (we may also install a 30days trial version of AutoCAD)
This course introduces learners to the fundamental tools and functions of Autodesk AutoCAD for creating precise technical drawings and design layouts. Students will learn basic drafting techniques, coordinate systems, and essential commands used in 2D design. The course builds practical skills in developing accurate plans, diagrams, and detailed project drawings suitable for engineering, architecture, and design applications.

OMA -2 - Office Management Application
Schedule: Friday, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Course Requirement : Personal Laptop with MS Office 2021 Installed
This course provides practical training in essential Microsoft Office applications used in modern office environments. Students will learn to manage email and scheduling with MS Outlook, create professional documents using MS Word, perform data organization and analysis in MS Excel, and design effective presentations with MS PowerPoint. By the end of the course, learners will gain the skills needed to handle everyday office tasks efficiently and confidently.

Course Requirement : Handheld tools Laptop Optional
The Consumer Electronics course covers essential electronic principles and practical applications related to household and personal electronic devices. Topics include basic circuits, components, power supplies, testing tools, preventive maintenance, and basic repair techniques.

𝗗𝗼𝗵𝗮, 𝗤𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿 - 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗢𝗪𝗪𝗔) - 𝗤𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿, 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝘃𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗖. 𝗧𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘂𝗮𝗻, successfully conducted the orientation program for the free training on various ICT short courses. The event was supported by the 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 and attended by the 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲́ 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗖. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿
The free training which will run for approximately eight weeks will offer courses on computer installation and auto-cad, designed to equip OFWs with essential technical knowledge and hands on office management administration skills to address computer-related problems and enhance their professional competencies.
A total of 𝟱𝟳 𝗢𝗙𝗪𝘀 attended the session, demonstrating their eagerness to improve their technical proficiency. The activity aimed to help participants gain practical understanding of system setup, hardware and software configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting—skills vital for today’s technology-driven workplaces.
The training was made possible through the partnership with 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗤 (𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗤𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿), an organization composed of Filipino IT professionals in Doha. FILTEQ, founded on 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟯 , was represented by its 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮, and 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮. Inagurated last 24 October 2025, FILTEQ in partnership with MWO & OWWA Qatar, launches the First batch of ICT (Information and Communication Training Program) started with 3 courses scheduled every friday 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at MWO Qatar office as thier classroom located at Building No. 17, Street No. 908 Zone No.66

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Training Program is a free computer literacy initiative led by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) and OWWA–Qatar, in partnership with FILTEQ. It is open to all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Qatar and aims to enhance and upgrade their computer skills. Classes are conducted every Friday at the Migrant Workers Office.
The followings are the requirements required prior to enrol.
- ACTIVE OWWA MEMBER - (Copy of receipt payment for owwa membership OR OWWA E-Card to be uploaded during Online Registration subject for owwa verification)
- VALID QID - (Copy to be uploaded during Online Registration)
- VALID Passport - (Copy uploaded during Online Registration)
- PERSONAL LAPTOP
You will received an email o whatsapp confirmation regarding your registration and date of orientation.
Not yet. You must be an active OWWA member to avail of the free ICT training. You may renew your membership with OWWA to become eligible.
Not in the same batch. Participants may take only one course per batch.
Although the program is open to all OFWs in Qatar, slots are limited based on classroom capacity, so enrollment follows a first-come, first-served policy.
